UK Online Doctor Consultation Service Terms & Conditions

Version 2.0 | Effective 10 July 2025

1. About Us

Nectarine Medical ("we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Nectarine Private Limited, a company incorporated in Sri Lanka (Reg. No. —) with its registered office at 1st Floor, No 40, Poorwarama Road, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka.

Key facts about our model

  • Practitioners – Nectarine Medical works exclusively with Sri Lanka-based, GMC-registered, qualified general practitioners.
  • Partner Platforms – We engage local booking/marketplace platforms in each patient country (e.g. thegpservice.co.uk) to market services, manage sign-up, run the patient portal and process PCI-compliant payments via Stripe.
  • Prescriptions – In the UK, non-EEA prescriptions are transcribed and rewritten by a GPhC-registered independent prescriber through a Non-EEA Prescription Transcription Service (NPTS), billed separately. In other countries, prescriptions are available only where an equivalent, lawful transcription service operates; if none exists, no prescription can be issued.
  • Nectarine Medical is not a dispensing pharmacy.

2. Key Definitions

Term Meaning
Service The 15-minute video-GP consultation plus related administration.
Partner Platform Any country-specific marketplace or booking site (e.g. thegpservice.co.uk) that lists, markets and processes payments for the Service.
NPTS / Local Transcription Service A service, provided by a qualified independent prescriber, that converts the GP's non-EEA prescription into a prescription valid in the patient's jurisdiction.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older and physically located in a jurisdiction where a Partner Platform is authorised to sell the Service.
  • The Service does not issue fit notes (sick notes) or referral letters.
  • Emergencies (e.g. chest pain, severe bleeding, suicidal thoughts) require immediate local emergency care.

4. Scope of Service

  1. Consultation Length – 15 minutes with a Sri Lanka-based, GMC-registered general practitioner.
  2. Prescription Outcome
    • If a lawful transcription service (e.g. UK NPTS) is available in your country and you purchase it, a locally valid private prescription may be issued.
    • If no such service exists, or the practitioner decides a prescription is not clinically appropriate, no Prescription-Processing Fee is charged and you pay only the Consultation Fee.
  3. Global Availability – Consultations are available worldwide via Partner Platforms; prescription issuance is limited to jurisdictions where a compliant transcription provider operates.
